Zeekr 7X facelift to gain new bumpers, tailgate, 900-volt architecture – up to 1,320 kW DC fast charging?

The Zeekr 7X may have only just been rolled out to international markets, but back in China a facelift is already being prepared for the handsome electric SUV. Spyshots that have surfaced on Weibo show some significant visual changes that bring the car in line with newer models in Zeekr’s lineup.

Visually, the new 7X is differentiated through a new, more aggressive front bumper, adding corner air inlets first seen on the 007 GT wagon. More significant is the rear redesign that pushes the number plate recess upwards into the tailgate, just below the full-width taillights. There’s also a greater use of body colour on the rear bumper where the fog and reverse lights are located.

Finishing up the exterior revamp are new multi-spoke polished alloy wheels give the car an air of added luxury, although it appears the existing two-tone rollers will still be offered. Expect some colour and trim changes to the still-fresh interior as well.

Even bigger changes are set to be found under the skin, with the 7X tipped to receive upgrades from the recently-launched 2026 001. These include more powerful electric motors, with the rear-wheel-drive version climbing from an already impressive 421 PS (310 kW) and 440 Nm of torque to 503 PS (370 kW) and 535 Nm. Meanwhile, the dual-motor all-wheel-drive variant should offer a whopping 925 PS (680 kW) and 913 Nm, up from the existing 646 PS (475 kW) and 710 Nm.

Also expect to be lifted from the 001 are the bigger batteries, including a 95 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery and a 103 kWh nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) pack, the latter reportedly offering a range of up to 802 km on China’s admittedly lenient CLTC cycle.

But the biggest advancement by far would be the charging speeds, with the 7X set to adopt the 001’s 900-volt electrical architecture, promising DC fast charging speeds of up to 1,320 kW (!). So equipped, the 95 kWh battery would be able to charge from 10 to 80% in just seven minutes. By contrast, the current 7X can only accept up to 450 kW, so charging the 75 kWh pack up by the same metric takes a yawning 10.5 minutes.
