Following the lease only Soloera Solo 1C electric scooter, Blueshark has now released the Soloera Solo 2, inclusive of a free Blueshark helmet, with a pre-order price of RM5,599 for the first 50 customers. The retail price of the Solo 2 will then be RM6,399, will all pricing not including the RM2,400 MARiiCas rebate which is currently on hold.
There is also the requirement for a five-year dual battery rental agreement at RM99 per month plus the connectivity pack fee at RM10 per month. Every Soloera Solo 2 comes with an unlimited warranty during the rental period.
Power for the Solo 2 comes from twin LPF 70.4 Volt 28 Ah batteries, driving a 4.0 kW rear wheel hub-mound motor. Mamxium speed is claimed to be 95 km/h with a range of 140 km tested according to NEC standards with a 75 kg rider on-board.
There is also a direct charge capability for the Solo 2 using domestic current. However, charging time for the Solo 2’s twin battery packs was not disclosed.
Suspension uses conventional telescopic forks in front with 65 mm of travel while the rear end of the Solo 2 is held up by twin preload-adjustable shock absorbers. Braking is done with single hydraulic discs front and rear, with combined braking system proportioning braking force.
Weight for the Solo 2 is listed at 132 kg with both batteries installed, while seat height is set at 760 mm with a ground clearance of 160 mm. There are three colour options available – Stardust Blue, Eclipse Gold, and Orion Grey – with assembly taking place in EP Manufacturing’s plant in Shah Alam, Selangor.
