AITO New SUVs Promise Huge Range for the Arab Market

The new Chinese brand AITO made an appearance at the 2025 Munich Motor Show. This young brand from the Seres Group was created just four years ago and has already surpassed 750,000 cars sold in its home country, becoming one of the fastest-emerging players in the premium electrified segment.

A rapid growth, fueled by the success of its flagship models and an offering that aims to redefine the concept of "connected luxury."

The lineup showcased in Munich

The range of cars brought by the company to the Munich Motor Show 2025 starts with the large AITO 9, which we have already discussed. This is the company's flagship, here in a 5-seat configuration but also available with 6 seats with two rows of individual chairs.

With its 205.9-inch length and a wheelbase of 122.44 inches, it is an imposing but elegantly styled SUV. The 365-kW powertrain ensures sports car-like acceleration (0-100 km/h in 4.9 seconds), while the total range reaches 770 miles thanks to the range extender system, with over 136.7 miles achievable in all-electric mode.

Next to the flagship is the AITO 8, a 6-seat SUV designed with the family in mind. It measures 204.3 inches in length, combining elegance and practicality with generous space and an 835-mile WLTP range. The second-generation "zero-gravity" seats recline up to 121 degrees and offer massage, heating, and ventilation.

There is also a rear screen measuring 32 inches and a dual-mode thermal compartment (hot and cold), designed for longer journeys. The third row is noteworthy as well, with almost 40 inches of legroom: a detail not to be taken for granted in this segment.

The third model is the AITO 7, targeting those who want comfort and a practical car designed for the family. With its 197.6-inch length and 6 seats, it is a large SUV that does not forgo sportiness, thanks to its 330-kW powertrain.

The combined range exceeds 621 miles, and onboard features include practical solutions like tables and integrated tablets for rear passengers, useful for both entertaining children and those who work while traveling. Here too, safety is paramount: the frame uses ultra-high strength hot-stamped steels of "submarine" origin, a feature AITO proudly highlights across all its models.

Rounding out the lineup is the AITO 5, the mid-range model aimed at a younger and dynamic audience. Measuring 188 inches, it features sporty lines, aggressively designed LED headlights, and an all-aluminum chassis, making it light and agile to drive.

With 365 kW of power and 675 Nm of torque, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds, while its range reaches 702 miles WLTP. Inside, you’ll find premium materials like Nappa leather, alongside cutting-edge technology: a head-up display, a 19-speaker audio system, and multicolored ambient lighting.

All the brand's innovative technologies

But at the AITO booth at the Munich Motor Show 2025, there are not only cars. The company also showcases the technical backbone of its models, starting with the MF platform, developed by the Seres Group to be versatile and safe.

It is compatible with three different types of powertrains: REEV, EV, and PHEV, allowing configurations from sedan to MPV, with refined suspensions (double wishbone in front and multilink in the rear, also available with air shock absorbers and rear axle steering).

Among the most technical innovations is the Next Generation RE, a range extender with a thermal efficiency of 44.8% and a quiet operation almost identical to pure electric cars thanks to individual motors for each wheel: a solution that not only improves traction but introduces unique functions like "tank turn" (rotating on its axis) or active torque distribution to tackle slippery or rough terrains.

Finally, in terms of technology, all AITO cars are equipped as standard with the 192-laser Lidar system, the most advanced, thus all offer the "Assistant Intelligence Driving System" technology as standard for top-tier driving assistance.

A brand we will soon see

AITO's trajectory is one of the most surprising in the Chinese automotive landscape: in just over three years, it has managed to establish itself as the sixth premium brand by sales. The brand's global debut, following its first appearance on the Munich stage, will soon extend to the United Arab Emirates.
